Everyone at Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe High School can sense the excitement in the building.  Mr. Chance Nix has taken the helm as the new principal and he brings the energy of those long ago Warriors. He began his career in Catoosa County as the school resource officer (SRO) at LFO in 2006. Since that time he has earned several degrees and tackled a teaching career and the job of assistant principal first, at Westside Elementary and then, at LFO.

Mr. Nix has worked tirelessly in the last two months to revitalize the physical appearance of LFO, adding wall wraps, new paint, a new Student Success Center, and much more. The Student Success Center, located in the CTAE hallway, has office space for our community resource people, a food pantry, a clothing closet, washer/dryer for student needs, space for peer tutoring, and so much more. LFO is shining like a new penny.

In addition to the physical revitalization, there has been a revitalization of the Warrior spirit. Administrators, faculty, staff, and students are taking pride in our school and ourselves. Our motto is: A Warrior Will Lead by example, Focus on success, and Own our actions.  The Warrior Nation is loud and proud.

In addition to being a principal, Mr. Nix is a devoted family man. He has been married to his wife, Heather, since 1994. They have two children, Hailey and Savannah.
