I have a Bachelors of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University (1991), where I attended on a Naval ROTC Scholarship and participated in the Naval ROTC program

Since entering the field of education in 2001, I have earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University (2004) and a Specialist of Education degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech (2007)

I have earned the Leadership Endorsement and Gifted Endorsements to my teaching certificate as well.  I am also a Google Level 1 Certified Educator and a Texthelp Titan.

I started teaching at LFO in the Fall of 2001. I have taught an extensive list of classes across all year groups (9-12) and ability levels including Algebra I, Algebra II, Precalculus and Statistics.

Other classes taught include SAT Prep, Mathematical Money Management and Drama.

I entered the field if education via the Georgia Teacher Alternative Preparation Program (GTAPP) in August of 2001. Prior to that I was a Naval Officer, Manufacturing Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer. I always try to incorporate real world skills in my curriculum because in my other jobs I saw the value of these skills and how vital they are to succeed.

Outside of school I enjoy acting on stage and in video projects. I have been married to my wife since August of 1996 and have three sons.
